I'm usually a sucker for a flavorful red, but when it's 95+ degrees out, I just can't do it. I find a sauvignon blanc is a great choice when I need something a little lighter. Even though this Sunshine Bay was a little pricey than the other wines at the store ($7), it was calling my name. I've never had a New Zealand wine, and this was a good first one to have. It was light and crisp and perfect for hanging out on a hot Sunday afternoon.
