Oh, the places you will go! My new employer, Two Rivers Marketing, is committed to providing a healthy work/life balance. As part of that committed, they hosted a family event at Adventureland. Seeing that I haven't been to the amusement/water park since I moved to Des Moines, I was pumped. This was my first time at Adventureland since I was a kid visiting my cousins. It was my first time at an amusement park with Lucas. As we started wandering around, I had to ask my husband if he liked roller coasters. The conversation had never come up. Knowing him, I figured he would; I was right. We rode quite a few rides before we called it quits. The roller coasters were fine, but the yellow spinning one (pictured above) was the scariest. You spin in a circle while swinging like a pendulum. It went way faster than it looks. The ferris wheel at sunset was very pretty and the space shot was a lot of fun. It's no Disney World or Six Flags, but it's not too shabby either.
