I'm finally back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I only lost four pounds and thought I'd have put it back on by now - plus some. For whatever reason, my thighs and bum have shrunk as my tummy continues to grow. I'm guessing this will soon reverse and they will start to grow right along with Spud. Can't wait!
Week 20 Preview
Lucas and I have decided to find out Spud's gender at my 20 week appointment this week. Care to take a guess? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Here are the signs, symptoms and so called evidence:
1) Heartbeat
Spud's heartbeat was 148 beats per minute at 16 weeks. The wives tales say higher than 140 is a girl and lower is a boy.
2) Morning sickness
During the first trimester, I had a very sensitive stomach, some nausea and fatigue. I did not throw up at all, though. They say bad morning sickness could be a girl and not-so-bad could be a boy.
I don't know if I'm carrying high or low yet. What do you think? The wives tales say high means a girl and low means a boy.
4) Cravings
Pre-pregnancy I was accustomed to eating chocolate every day. I still do but have noticed increase salt cravings. They say sweet cravings indicate a girl and salty or sour cravings indicate a boy.
5) Dreams
I've only had one dream about Spud's gender. In my dream Spud was a girl and we named her Pearson.
