Akebono 515 gets an A+ from me. Quietly nestled on 10th and Mulberry across from Raccoon River Brewery, you will find the very modern yet comfortable Japanese restaurant. The restaurant just opened in July and is the outcome of four local chefs combining powers. Once we were seated, I went straight to the sushi roll part of the menu, which had plenty of options. I chose the Rising Sun, a tempura shrimp and crab roll, and Malibu Crunch, a spicy tuna roll. Both rolls were delicious. The Malibu Crunch was spicier than I expected but the other flavors made up for that. Of all the sushi I've had, I've never had a roll like either of these. After placing our order, our server explained that we get soup and salad with our meals. What a sweet deal! For $18 + tax and tip, I walked out of there stuffed, which is hard to do on sushi alone. I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.
