Every bride handles her wedding planning very differently. Some are super stressed, some are very laid back, and some fall somewhere in between. Luckily for us bridesmaids, Shannon is being extremely flexible when it comes to what we wear. We have two rules: 1) It must be navy blue 2) It must be knee length. These are two very easy rules to follow.
We popped over to David's Bridal in Clive to try on a few different styles. Since we can buy the dresses from anywhere, this was just a starting point. Krista tried on a couple dresses, I tried on a handful, and Shannon was a supportive bride telling us every dress looked great (of course they did). I found four I really liked. Prices range from $100-$179. I will be a guest at two weddings shortly after Shannon's nuptials, so I plan on making this dress do triple duty. Fortunately, navy lends itself to both fall and winter weddings. Since I was so torn, I decided not to buy any of them… yet. I'll do some more looking in the coming weeks before pulling the trigger. I'm the worst impulse buyer ever. Usually it's a blessing; sometimes it's just frustrating.
More than anything, it was a great girl date. What's better than trying on dresses and then going to eat Mexican? Yeah, I can't think of anything either. Here's to Shannon and Matt tying the knot!
