The book, so far, is a flashback through the eyes of the main character, Amir, to his childhood days in Afghanistan. Hosseini makes it an easy read with a slow pace. I'm drawn in by the unknown culture of another time and place and the familiar complexity of relationships with family and friends. I'm getting anxious to get to the major conflict, and, of course, the resolution. Only 280 pages to go.
