It's a great week when I get to eat at not one, but two restaurants for the first time. My Friday lunch hour was spent with my new co-workers at Alba in the East Village. This is another place I've been wanting to check out. I was not let down. My chicken, mushroom, carrot risotto was perfect. The ambiance was chill but classy. Service was good. I think the risotto was the most expensive item on the lunch menu at $9.95. Not too shabby. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals, which included burgers, sandwiches, and a frittata.
