While I completely made this statistic up, I bet it's not a far cry from the truth. Netflix - and other streaming services - makes it so easy to watch episode after episode of any given show. Orange is the New Black season two is a fine example.
People were practically taking the day off work to prepare for the release of new episodes on June 6. While I mostly enjoyed watching the first season, I wasn't dying to see season two. I had a busy June - just moving into the new house and all - so I waited a week or so to press play. At a slower pace than many, I took two weeks to watch the entire season.
Overall, it was a fine season. Some story lines got drawn out while others were told so quickly they seemed like a filler. Piper's character doesn't develop. Her actions and reactions are predictable. Larry, however, makes a bold move. The whole Daya and John situation annoys me. There's a new activist inmate who also annoys me, but I think she's actually supposed to be annoying. Red is losing her bite. Nicky gets no love; I like her character a lot and she is practically in the background all season. Pennsatucky is back and trying to be normal - who cares? I actually want to like Captuto and liked the story line between him and Ms. Figueroa.
When season three rolls out, I won't be arm wrestling Lucas for the remote. But when I've gone through all my other shows, I'm sure I'll hit play.
