Something big happened this week: I felt Spud moving! I know it's early, but what else could create punching sensations in my lower abdomen? I didn't get too excited the first day because I wasn't sure. It's happened several more times, though, so I'm pretty confident I'm feeling little kicks as Spud moves around and tests out his or her legs.
Lucas and I have yet to buy anything for Spud; however, we received our first gifts from my dear friend Jacki. She has two kids who have outgrown some of the baby items. Instead of having them take up room in her basement, Jacki was more than wiling to pawn them off on me. And I was more than willing to take them off her hands. Our first items for Spud include a bath tub, door way jumper and activity mat. I know Spud will love them!
This week was really pretty easy for me. I had no headaches, growing pains or constipation and very minimal fatigue. Now if only this could continue for the next five months...
According to the baby websites, Spud is about five ounces and five inches long. I'm excited as he or she continues to grow!
Baby Bump
Maybe my belly looks a little bigger this week. I'm still fitting in my normal pants, which is great. I'm holding off on buying new clothes until I really need to. Last night at my friend's wedding was really the first time the baby bump was on display. I wore a flowy dress that showed it off just enough. I'm glad I'm started to show more - I guess it makes the pregnancy seem more real if you can see (and feel) it.
