Once you're married, going to weddings will never be the same as when you were single. I was excited to help celebrate a longtime friend's wedding this weekend. As soon as we arrived I found myself analyzing every detail from the programs and decorations to song selection and jingling of bells as the couple exited the church. It was a great ceremony, an amazing reception with unforgettable food and a live band, and Sarah looked killer in her full, fun, modern wedding gown. She (and I'm sure Robbie helped a bit) put together a lovely day with a mix of traditional and modern elements. The church, simple black bridesmaids dresses, and her processing in with her veil draped in front of her face were tried and true to weddings years ago. But Sarah's textured dress, their written vows, and the guys' gray suits and funky orange ties are spot on for a 2013 wedding. As a single gal, I wouldn't have taken notice to half of those things. As a married woman, I have a great appreciation for the planning behind every girl's dream day.
