My First Time |

I feel like it's been a while, but I get to cross another metro restaurant off my To Eat list. A few of my volleyball teammates and I hit up The Longest Yard in Valley Junction tonight for a little pre-game dinner. My buddy talked up their french dip sandwich so much that all four of us ended up ordering it. I informed him that if I was disappointed, he'd never hear the end of it. However, after one bite, I realized how right he was. The meat and au jus were extremely well flavored. It wasn't just slices of meat one a bun, but really tender and savory slices of meat. They gave you enough au jus that at first I thought it was a cup of soup. As my side, I ordered the roasted baby potatoes. They were yummy and a nice change of pace from the same ol' same ol' french fries. The ambiance was chill and there are several TVs to watch your favorite game. The lighting is pretty dim, thus the reason this post is sans picture. I'd been meaning to eat here for quite some time, so I'm very glad I can finally say I've eaten there.
