One place I've heard good things about is Mama Lacona's. It's one of the many restaurants I have yet to eat at so when a coupon came in the mail, it was the perfect invitation to stop in for a bite. The coupon was for $3 off a large pizza. That sounded like a great deal until I saw in the menu that a large pizza is $20-$26. Actually, quite a few items on the menu were priced higher than I expected. We ordered the alfredo chicken and the pizza galore. When they arrived at the table, I was unpleasantly surprised to see grease just sitting atop the cheese on each and every slice. Once I picked up a slice, I realized the grease went through to the crust making it soggy and limp. The flavor of the pizzas wasn't bad my any means. But compared to the other pizza places in town like Gusto and Red Rossa, it's going to take a lot more than a $3 coupon to get me to eat Mama's pizza again. I am willing to go back and try something else on the menu. Maybe pizza just isn't their thing...
