Tuesday night I spent 3.5 hours finishing up the tape (on top of the 2.5 hours I'd already put into measuring and taping). How tedious! My measurements weren't perfect (go figure) so I ended up eye-balling some of my lines. That added a lot of time. You know the saying, "measure twice, tape once." Yeah... Regardless, I think they turned out pretty evenly. If you look too long or closely at the wall searching for imperfections, your eyes will blur before you can find any. I'm banking on the assumption that will happen to everyone and not just me... | Wednesday night I spent about an hour painting over the tape with the same color the wall is already. This will help seal the tape and reduce the chance for the teal accent color to bleed under the tape. It's an extra step in the process, but from what I've read on other blogs and from a very handy co-worker, it's totally worth it. At least it's been the easiest part of the process so far. I'm crossing my fingers this will work! I'll find out soon enough as I will be painting the teal color tonight. Stay tuned... |
